What Is an FFL?

An FFL (Federal Firearms License) is a license issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to authorize businesses—like gun shops, pawnshops, and firearm dealers—to legally handle, receive, and transfer firearms. If you're buying a firearm online or from an out-of-state dealer, an FFL transfer is required to complete your purchase. Let Bullseye Bill’ s take care of the transfer for you. Our experienced team ensures that your firearm is received, documented, and released legally, safely, and efficiently.

⚠ Please do not enter our store address as the shipping address unless you've already contacted us to initiate the transfer. Unannounced shipments may be delayed or refused.

🔎 Important FFL Transfer Guidelines

🔹 Valid ID Required A government-issued photo ID with your current residential address is required at the time of pickup.

🔹 State Restrictions We will not accept or process transfers of firearms banned in South Carolina, even if you are exempt under law.

🔹 Transferee Must Match Paperwork Only the person named on the invoice or transfer paperwork may legally pick up the firearm. No exceptions.

🔹 Waiting Periods & Background Checks All required background checks and waiting periods begin when you arrive at our store and complete the ATF Form 4473—not when you pay online or when the gun is shipped.

🔹 Background Check Fees Any state or federal background check filing fees are the buyer ’ s responsibility.

🔹 FFL-to-FFL Only We only accept shipments from other licensed FFL holders. Firearms shipped from private individuals will be refused and returned.

🔹 Serialized Firearms Only We do not accept non-serialized firearms under any circumstance.

🔹 Non-Citizen Restrictions We currently do not transfer firearms to non-U.S. citizens, including those on temporary visas. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) may be eligible, depending on current ATF regulations.
